Groups of Dolphins and harbour Porpoises
Hello all.
Today we started our season formally with a trip out to the Faxaflói-bay, and it was a good start.
It is clear that the bay-life is starting to increase as spring is on our doorsteps. We had the pleasure of haveing 3 groups of White beaked Dolphins and 2 of Harbour Porpoises. The Dolphins were entertaining as usually, but the Harbour Porpoises were shy as always. We know that the Minke Whale is out there, but we did not see them in this trip, but we are confident that we will find them tomorrow, or the day after.
The birds, including the puffin are starting to look for their better half, and making ready for nests making, as they are starting to form groups out at sea. And the birds are starting to feed on the sand-eel, so we are confident that the whales will be soon in big numbers.
Regards from the crew of Andrea
