Interesting travel path of a Humpback whale around Iceland

Whales are very mysterious mammals which much too little is known about. But the 21.of October a Humpback whale was marked with a GPS receiver in Eyjafjordur (North of the country) for research purposes by the Marine Research Institute. The Humpback whales can get up to 16 m long, weigh from 30-50 tons with a swimming speed about 25 kph. The 6.of November the Humpback whale had already arrived all the way to Faxafloi bay.
